Material Handler (614051)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Receive all inbound shipments, including finished goods, both manufactured and purchased, and other non-inventory items.
Prepare required receiving documentation and enters into the Procurement Management System. Maintain current file of completed paperwork, focusing on accuracy and promptness.
Replenish flow racks and other picking locations as required or directed. Review Stock Status Report to determine closest location. Use wands to record pick line.
Pull product from reserve locations to support group pulls, ZDI (Zimmer Distributor Inventory) and international operations. Prepare and complete paperwork to cover or uses wand to make transaction.
Fill Cast Tape orders according to prescribed guidelines. Both LIFO and FIFO basis area used.
Load and unload trucks as required, spot check cartons as to accuracy of load. Complete paperwork as required.
Restock flow rack daily with repacked product from customer returns area.

Expected Areas of Competence
Must be able to handle weights up to 75 lbs. in accordance with safe lifting techniques, i. e., requesting assistance from another employee, use of a hand truck , pallet jack, or forklift.
Knowledge of company computer system is essential. Knowledge of basic computer operations a plus.
Knowledge of receiving and inventory control methods and procedures necessary.
Must be able to perform simple math calculations.
Ability to read and understand vendor documentation such as packing slips and able to read and understand company shipping reports
Education/Experience Requirements
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to obtain for narrow aisle Hi-lift truck license in 30 days

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
