Project Manager (609407)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Lead assigned projects to completion on time, on budget, and within scope by establishing time lines, assigning resources, driving tasks through cross-functional teams, and identifying and mitigating project risks.
Partner with Engineering to understand the Quality Management System (QMS), help the Engineering Team to implement all requirements of the QMS, act as a liaison between Engineering, Quality, Doc Control, and Regulatory Dept.
Implement corporate procedures into local work instructions and templates, generate or update project design documents and quality documents with team members.
Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project to effectively manage projects. Ensure compliance to Zimmer s New Product Development process.
Establish and manage process for monitoring divisional projects to assist functional and divisional leaders.
Partner with appropriate management, marketing, product development, legal, and staff to plan and evaluate new projects, as assigned.

Expected Areas of Competence

Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project (or equivalent).
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Document Control Engineering.
Ability to work in a highly documented procedural environment.
Broad knowledge of the use of a Phase Gate development process and its application.
Must be able to track, assess and recommend alternative plans via the realignment of resources and tasks in order to achieve the projects time and budget objectives.
Excellent planning, analytical skills as well as good organization and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) in a clear and concise manner.
Professional, concise, tactful and sensitive in communications. Accomplishes objectives when communicating with internal personnel, and external customers and vendors. Strong ability to represent the department and company.
Must possess an established track record of sound cross-functional actions and decisions impacting the business process and company results.
Ability to establish relationships quickly with a broad range of constituents. Must possess a collaborative style to work effectively throughout the organization. Able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitment to goals and objectives.

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor degree in an engineering, analytical, or science related field required.
6-8 years work experience with at least 5 years in engineering or documentation control (particularly electrical engineering) required.
Proven record of success in managing projects with strong practical experience in utilizing project management tools (e. g., Microsoft Project) required.
Medical, electromechanical, disposable, and/or orthopedic device experience desired.
Experience working in a FDA Class 3 regulated environment is desired

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
