Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Positive and assertive job attitude, self-motivated, independent worker with the ability to learn.
  • Maintain workstation clean and organized.
  • Passed all test, certification and performance requirements.
  • Assist with training as needed.
  • Perform In-process Inspection to insure devices meet released prints using basic measurement devices and Comparator overlays.
  • Ability to make adjustments and corrections in set-up as required meeting Device specifications.
  • Perform and document all Preventative Maintenance performed on Department Equipment.
  • Enter all EDM orders in departmental log.
  • Monitor and record Run Time Minutes for all work performed.

 

Expected Areas of Competence (i. e. KSAs)

  • Follow approved standard operating procedures & safety procedures while:
  • Working with standard measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and scales in both metric and English system.
  • Working with and around Hazardous process materials.
  • Using some power tools and light machining equipment.
  • To put health, safety and quality first.
  • Put forward a behavior appropriate and conducive to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Actively participate in the personnel training required to improve individual performance.
  • CNC or Conventional Machining Skills required.
  • Previous EDM experience required.
  • Proven Ability to set up and operate Wire and Ram EDM machines.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting of all Device prints/Blue Print.

 

Education/ Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or better.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Machine shop math training or better is a plus.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
